Dot com and dot net are the most common domain suffix, there are 100 domain suffix is used now and the number is still increasing. We probably know the meaning of some of them, here is the meaning of different domain suffix we can register now.

.com

com is short for company, so it is means company. .com is the earliest used domain name. It is said that symbolics.com is the first domain name in the world since 1985. Now this website is a blog powered by WordPress, haha.

.net

.net is one of the most widely used domain name format. .net is generally used in Internet-related network service agencies or companies, of course, anyone can register. But many companies choose .com to build their website.

.org

.org means the non-profit organizations, almost all the non-governmental non-profit organizations use .org domain name.

.info

Info is the information’s abbreviated, as a sign of the information age, .info with a unique identifier of the network information service will become the preferred domain, due to the rise of personal independence blog, .info domain names have also been popular among the IT practitioners,

.me

.me is Montenegro’s national domain, just like .cc, .tv, .la, they are non-international domain names. .me is popular in recent years because the meaning of “me”, people who have .me domain names will have their own stages to show themselves, but this is what the advertisement said, .com is still the first choice for most people.

.tel

.us is the United States’s national top-level domain name, it is welcomed by the shopping websites owners.

.mobi

How to increase Google PageRank

Google update PageRank three days before, as a gift for the new year, Pagerank of most websites has been increased. Although PageRank don’t equals profit, but sometimes high PageRank can bring us good ranks and hihg triffic.

I begun to write this blog two weeks ago, now my blog’s Google Pagerank is five, although it was by luck coincidence, I want share my experience on increasing Google PageRank.

Buy high PageRank backlinks

For business websites such as shopping store online, the most effective method is buy 3-5 high PageRank backlings, the same industry websites is better. For example, a PR0 website buy a PR7, two PR6 websites, three PR5 websites, after next updating the Google PageRank will increase to 4 at least.

Exchange good backlinks

For the webmasters or blogger who don’t want to spend the money, try to exchange backlinks with other webmasters, but it takes a long time and patience to bulid backlinks, search websites, write emails, reply emails, etc. Well, joining some webmasters forums will save a lot of time and energe if we want to find appropriate backlinks.

Most of the forums allow members use their own sepcial signatures will UBB code, so we can add permanent links without nofollow, once you post new topic or reply others, you will get a permanent backlink. A PR6 forum bring me 5,000 backlinks after post some topics.

Some of the pages of our website are meaningless, some links to other websites are also meaningless, add nofollow to these links to teel the SE that these links is out of your control and they will not share the weight of your site.

Optimize your RSS and use the Social Bookmark

If you do well in RSS and Social Bookmarks, you will get good traffic and high PageRank, so what you need to do is write hight quality articles, worth reading content, etc.

Submit your site to the directory sites

Submit your site to Open Directory such as DMOZ, Yahoo Directory(Not Free), some very high quality Open Directory websites are hard to list on them, but there are many similar websites now and you can submit your site to some of them. This kind of backlinks can Increase your Google PageRank quickly.
