Twitter announced in Friday that the World Cup has promote the release number of their users, which has reached to 3283 per second, a new record. Last week, after the Lakers beat the Celtics and won the NBA championship, Twitter announced the number was 3085 per secondm but since the World Cup opening ceremony, the number has continued increase. Usually, the twiters release 750 messages per second. These statistics mean that when teams are fighting for the championship, many people are making online cast at Twitter, for me and most people, Twitter has been the fastest way for news. Although many users also share the topics or photos about the World Cup in Facebook, Twitter is no doubt the best place to know what was happening around the world when you are doing you business.
There is also a big problem during the World Cup, too many people are reading or writing topics about the World Cup, when my roommates were watching the match online, I cound not visit the Twitter because the slowly Internet, compare internet service providers in my area, mabey I should change to a faster Inernet, I don’t want to miss any interesting topics at Twitter.
As Twitter’s Chief Operating Officer Dick Costello said recently, Twitter’s users reached 190 million per month. Many fans of Twitter are post different kinds of topics about Twitter and these will attract more and more new users.
