Most of the time the comouter is used as a typewriter rather than a useful tool. What;s more, the big companis can afford an IT apartment, but for the small companies, the IT department is unnecessary and redundance, so for those people who work at small companies or want to find a new job, it will be better if the HR knows that you are good at computers more than the office software.

HP Officejet J3680 All-in-One Printer

Last week the administrative department of my college bought 40 HP Officejet J3680 All-in-One Printers for each office, but unfortunately most of the geology professors didn’t know how to connect the printers to their computer or laptop, so I wrote this article for those people who don’t family with computers and printers after solving my tutor’s problem, even the sellers arrange for the delivery and installation.

  1. First, remove the printer out of the package box and check if there are any damages, then onnect the power cable to a power adapter.
  2. Connect the square end of the USB cable to the printer and the rectangular end to your laptop or computer.
  3. Turn your computer and printer ON, Your computer should find the newly attached hardware, and recognize it as printer. For those who used windows 2003 or below, you may have to install some drivers of the printer, you can find the driver CD-ROM in the package box.
  4. Install the necessary software, just follow the instructions for software installation and it is optional if you don’t need the additional functions.
  5. Open any document and click on Print in File menu or click on a printer icon in the toolbar, if it prints as you want, congratulations, our work is finished successfully.
Add Ink Cartridges to a printer

If you have bought the used printers or the printers cann’t print clearly, it is the time to refill ink cartridges or toner cartridges to the printers, they are just hungury. Here are some steps and tips for the beginners.

  1. First you must find out your the brand and the model number of your printer, then search the internet or go to the shops to find the most suitable ink cartridges, you can also read the instruction of the printer in the pachage box. Must notice that all the inkjet cartridges and the toner cartridges are different.
  2. Locate the “door” on your machine which will give access to the ink cartridge. While every machine will be slightly different, this access point should be a fairly obvious one. Open the door and gently pull out the spent ink cartridge. Use this cartridge as a guide when shopping for a new one at the store. Each manufacturer uses slightly different cartridges, so be sure to find one that is compatible.
  3. Get the new inkjet cartridges and peel off the packing, then release the ink into the machine.
  4. Gently insert the new cartridge into the appropriate slot and close the access door. If your cartridge is for a color printer, be sure to align color with color and black with black. Your machine will automatically recognize the new cartridge, as long as you purchased a compatible model, that is it.

With these two skills you can use the printer without troubles, if you have any other IT or computer promlems, feel easy to find the answers at feelblog.com.

Save your budget by using the VoIP system

April 24th, 2010

For those small companies who want to make their business much more bigger, the first lesson is how to compress their budget on some unnecessary aspects. For example, if you want to make an offical blog for the site of your company, there is no need to develop and design it, use wordpress and its plenty themes will save you a lot of time and money.

I have worked for a hotel reservation company for 2 years as a webmaster, the sales department made over 300 calls per day to customers all over the world, which will cost a lot of budget every month and almost a quarter of the profit will be paid to the telecom operators. Then someone told the Executive and Managerial that using the business VoIP system for our business would save a lot of money, but what exactly the VoIP system is? Look at the picture below, it shows clearly.

How VoIP System Works

Why the VoIP system is so cheap?

Compare to the traditional telphone call, many VoIP services need only $20 a month, only a lunch or a T-shirt prices.
VoIP system is just an application on the Internet, so, in essence there is no difference amoung the VoIP system, e-mail, instant message, all of them can be used on the machines which are connected to the Internet, such as PC, mobile phones and PDA.

Is the VoIP system safe?

Well, the VoIP system is rarely be attacked and the calls are encrypted by the system and it is as safe as the traditional
telphones. In fact, the only thing we should worry about is weather the power would be cut suddenly because the VoIP system can not run if you can’t connect to the Internet.

How about the price?

The most important item for the companies, haha. If your employee is on business in other countrys, using the VoIP system will not even cost you a penny, it is free when make calls between two computers both are connected to the Internet. If you call back your customers’ phones, the monthly payment is usually $20 in North America and the International calls are $0.02-$0.15/min for different companies.

So, for all the corps, no matter big or small, deploy your own VoIP system is one of the best ways to save the budget. And if you want to do the best in saving budget, subscribe feelblog and you will received the update as soon as possible.
