Enterprise Applications and Cloud Computing

The cloud comouting has been a very hot topic in the last two years, there were also a lot of cloud comouting applications have been released for enterprises. When more and more big enterprises like Google and Microsoft lanuched their cloud computer services, for those CTOS or Managers from other small IT enterprises or Non-IT enterprises, do we really need the cloud computer service and how to choose the suitable cloud computer service?

I had been working for the National Geology Association for 12 months as an software engineer before I joined FortesLED(A LED Module Manufacturer), during that time, I was in charge of some website projects which need a lot of dedicated servers, we have to leave a lot of our budget to bu servers, operation system and the platform. After consulting our it outsourcing company, they give us a comparison between normal dedicated servers and cloud computer servers:

For the normal dedicated servers, it took us a lot of money on hardware and software, besides, we have to undertake the cost of the upgrading for the hardware every 3 or 5 years, employ an enterprise network management team to keep the servers and network running health and safe, did the small companies really has so much budget and engineers?

In fact, after I join FortesLED, a non-IT enterprise, we handled all of our website, data center, IT safety business to cloud computering services, my IT apartment only run the website and find the best outsourcing developers. At lease for enterprises like mine, they will benefit more from cloud computing than before.

But the cloud computing is not suitable for all the enterprises, for example, the enterprises which required high security, they can’t deploy any of their business on the cloud couputing servers at this moment because no none can guarantee that there is no security flaw.

So, if you are don’t know wheather you can use the cloud couputing services, find a technology consulting company and they will help you will your IT business. After that you can enjoy the feelings on the cloud.

The First iPad Bed in the World

IPad has already had a lot of accessories, this is the most expensive. In fact, this iPad is a bed, it just provide a dock for the iPad. This iPad bed and mattresse come from the Hollandia International Inc. brand Therapedic jointly named iCon Bed, which is the world’s first bed design for the iPad. They set iPad entrance in bed and provide sound.

Hollandia’s CEO Avi Barssessat said, like ipad,this iCon bed is a lifestyle choice, not just a product. Besides itself superior quality, fashion, functionality and usability are fully taken into account. There are four built-in speaker, 250-watt amplifier, and two iPad dock. Bed itself has more than 200 kinds of fashionable colors for selection.

 As the prices, this iCon bed is $20,000, with two 3D mattresses and adjustable height base. Therapedic company has 53-year-production history of mattresses and related products, it is also one of the entire top ten brands of mattresses. Hollandia company also has 29 years of history, it has been working to provide users with better sleep system. The cottage will never have such quality assurance, but the price of $20,000 is not an ordinary can bear.

Twitter is the fastest news source

Twitter announced in Friday that the World Cup has promote the release number of their users, which has reached to 3283 per second, a new record. Last week, after the Lakers beat the Celtics and won the NBA championship, Twitter announced the number was 3085 per secondm but since the World Cup opening ceremony, the number has continued increase. Usually, the twiters release 750 messages per second. These statistics mean that when teams are fighting for the championship, many people are making online cast at Twitter, for me and most people, Twitter has been the fastest way for news. Although many users also share the topics or photos about the World Cup in Facebook, Twitter is no doubt the best place to know what was happening around the world when you are doing you business.

There is also a big problem during the World Cup, too many people are reading or writing topics about the World Cup, when my roommates were watching the match online, I cound not visit the Twitter because the slowly Internet, compare internet service providers in my area, mabey I should change to a faster Inernet, I don’t want to miss any interesting topics at Twitter.

As Twitter’s Chief Operating Officer Dick Costello said recently, Twitter’s users reached 190 million per month. Many fans of Twitter are post different kinds of topics about Twitter and these will attract more and more new users.

In fact, if you have enough energy or you want to build miniblogs for your own or your conpany, you can try these four Open Source Micro-blog Programs, they are very familiar with Twitter.

Some countries can’t visit Twitter because the political reasons, you can read my former post How to visit Twitter when blocked by the local goverment, no one can stop us from the news and truth.

After I finished these article, 37 friends of my twitter have wrote 52 new topics about the match between Germany and Endland, maybe you get all these news from ESPN or tomorrow’s newspagers, but I’m enjoying the interesting and real-time news whenever, this is the Twitter.

Internet Explorer 9 Preview and Download

Microsoft has released preview version of Internet Explorer 9  for the developers at Tuesday, Dean Hachamovich, the general manager of Microsoft’s IE team, said in a statement that IE 9 is very different from the previous versions. He said that Microsoft will upgrade version IE 9 for every 7 weeks, the first update will be in mid-May, but he did not disclose the release time of the official version of IE 9.

Microsoft said the preview version of IE 9 is not yet a complete browser currently as it does not include user navigation tools such as the address bar and security features. Microsoft has released what it called a “Test Drive” of the web sites for web site designers, application developers who want to understand the preview version of IE 9′s function.

Preview version of IE 9 only supports Windows 7, Windows Vista SP2 and Windows Server R2. IE 9 graphics processor can be used to accelerate the processing power of text and graphics rendering.
